Jaclyn "Jackie O" O'Connor is a local musician and full-time music teacher. She plays a variety of instruments, and loves singing jazz, blues and original songs with positive vibes. A practicing yoga student of 10 plus years, she has become inspired to combine and share her passions for music and yoga, creating harmony physically and aurally.
Jackie O has shared her music at events around the North Shore, including Yoga Live! 2010, The Salem Sound Coastwatch Swim and Fin Festivals, The Solar Energy Festival in Beverly, The North Shore Star 2008 Event, and was a finalist in the Steppin' Out Jazz contest at Scullers in Boston. She has also helped her students write award winning environmental songs for the Paul G. Keough Earth Artist Program, sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency. Her work was recognized in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
You can hear Jackie O's original music during savasana (resting pose) at several of Boston's North Shore yoga studios. She also often plays her live music during the Meet Up's Yoga Social of the North Shore events. Check her calendar for upcoming live music listings.
